Cabernet Sauvignon 50%, Merlot 25%, Syrah 25%.
Born in 1979 from an idea of Ugo and Vittorio Contini Bonacossi, who wanted to produce a wine with a Bordeaux blend in Carmignano. The first vineyard, consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, was located on the gravelly alluvial soil of the Furba stream, from which it takes its name.
In 1992, when the S. Alessandro vineyard, entirely of Cabernet Sauvignon, went into production, the blend was changed; in 1998 Syrah was added.
COLOR: Very intense ruby red, almost impenetrable.
BOUQUET: Wide, complex, elegant, fine, sweet, fruity with intense spicy notes.
TASTE: Soft, structured, of great volume, opulent, with dense and sweet tannins, acidity in balance with the structure, fat and density of the wine. Long, persistent, fruity aftertaste with taste sensations of small red fruits of the undergrowth married to intense and complex spicy notes.
Alcohol content: 15%
